대전 유성구 갑동에서 충남 공주시 공암리간 도로를 확포장하는 공사가 7년만에 마무리된다.
18일 대전국토청에 따르면 "2016년 1월 착공한 학봉~공암간 도로공사를 이달 말 준공한다"고 밝혔다.
이번에 개통되는 학봉~공암 도로는 대전시 유성구 갑동에서 충남 공주시 반포면 학봉리를 거쳐 반포면 공암리 5.4Km 구간을 폭 27m 6차로로 확대했다.
공사기간 동안 총 사업비 988억원이 투입됐다.
구간내 4개 교차로 중 '사봉교차로'와 '박정자교차로'를 입체화해 상습정체구간을 해소했다.
기존 '박정자 삼거리' 구간은 벚꽃 축제기간 이동 차량이 많아 계룡산 국립공원을 찾는 관광객들에게 불편을 초래해왔다.
이를위해 국토청은 이 구간을 박정자교, 박정자R-A교, 제1학봉교, 박정자육교 등 교량 4곳과 접속도로(ramp) 4곳을 고가 방식의 입체 교차로로 조성했다.
대전청 관계자는 "이번 개통으로 계룡산 국립공원을 찾는 관광객의 이용 편의가 증대돼 지역 경제에 긍정적인 효과가 클 것"이라고 예상했다.
특히, "이 구간 교통 혼잡이 해소돼 통행시간이 약 8분에서 4~6분으로 단축된다"며 "가로등 설치로 야간 운전자 시야가 확대돼 교통사고가 감소할 것"으로 기대했다.
