브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 지난 28일 신년 특별사면·복권된 직후 병원에 입원한 이명박 전 대통령이 30일 오전 퇴원해 대국민 메시지를 남겼다.
이명박 전 대통령은 이날 오후 12시55분 경 서울 종로구 서울대병원에서 퇴원한 뒤 오후 1시15분경 강남구에 위치한 소망교회에 도착했다.
이 전 대통령은 교회에서 약 30분 가량 머문 뒤 1시 55분 경 서울 논현동 자택 앞에 도착했다. 수감된지 4년 9개월 만에 집으로 귀가한 것 이다.

자택 앞에선 친이계 의원들과 지지자 등 약 200여명이 운집해 이 전 대통령을 맞이했다.
차량에서 내린 이 전 대통령은 지지자들과 일일이 악수를 나눈 뒤 대국민 메시지를 발표했다.
그는 "지난 5년 동안 많은 분들이 특히 젊은층들이 절 성원해주고 기도해주셔서 감사하다"며 "이제 새해가 왔다. 지난해 우리 국민 여러분들이 많이 힘드셨다"고 말했다.
이어 "코로나로 지난 3년 간 국민들과 기업하는 모든 분들이 어려움을 겪고 있어 위로 드리고 싶다"며 "세계적인 위기를 우리 대한민국이 가장 먼저 극복하기 위해서 국민 모두가 힘을 합쳐야 한다"고 했다.
이 전 대통령은 또한 "대한민국이 정의로운 자유민주주의 국가로써 다시 경제 번영을 해야 한다"며 "이를 통해 우리 국민 모두가 특히 서민층이 일자리를 얻고 복지가 강화되는 좋은 나라가 되도록 국민들이 힘을 모아야 한다"고 강조했다.
그러면서 "저는 대한민국의 번영을 위해 기도함으로써 역할을 하겠다. 새해복 많이 받으시라"고 덧붙였다.

이 전 대통령은 '사면 받은데 대한 입장은 따로 밝히느냐' 등의 이어진 기자들의 질문에 "지금은 따로 할 말이 없다. 앞으로 할 기회가 있을 것"이라고 말한 뒤 자택으로 들어갔다.
한편 이날 이 전 대통령을 맞이하러 나온 의원들은 친이계 좌장으로 불리는 이재오 국민의힘 상임고문을 비롯해 권성동·윤한홍·조해진·류성걸·박정하·태영호 의원, 정병국 전 의원 등이다.
이외에도 MB정부 시절 주요 공직인사들도 대거 나왔다. 김황식 전 총리, 대통령비서실장을 지낸 임태희 경기도교육감, 하금열 전 대통령실장, 류우익 전 대통령실 실장, 이상휘 전 홍보기획비서관, 맹형규 전 행정안전부 장관, 윤증현 전 기획재정부 장관, 김성환 전 외교통상부 장관, 최금락 전 홍보수석, 김두우 전 홍보수석, 박인주 전 사회통합수석, 변도윤 전 여성가족부 장관, 김금래 전 여성가족부 장관 등이 이날 현장에 함께했다.
