새해 1월 1일 반월호수에서 개최된 군포시 해맞이 행사에 사상 최대의 인파가 몰려 성황을 이뤘다.
군포시새마을회가주최·주관한 신년 해맞이 행사는 군포시와 군포여성단체협의회, 농협군포지부, 군포예총 등이 후원해 군포시민들이 모여 새해를 기쁘게 준비하는 잔치였다.
이날 행사에는 하은호 군포시장과 이길호 시의회의장, 이학영 국회의원, 최진학 국민의힘 조직위원장, 전·현직 시·도의원, 시민 2,000여명이 오전 6시부터 반월호수 주변에 모여 인산인해를 이루었다.
이어 7시부터 시작된 공식행사에서 신년인사와 함께 군포예총이 준비한 노래와 북춤, 대북공연 등이 펼쳐졌다.
기상대 발표 7시 46분에 떠오른 아침해는 반월호수에 기다려 선 시민들에게는 8시 3분에 얼굴을 내밀어 시민들을 환호하게 했다.
하은호 군포시장은 인사말에서 “시민들이 희망찬 2023년 계묘년 시작을 반월호수에서 함께 할 수 있어 감개무량하다”며, “군포시를 모두가 살고 싶어 하는 명품 도시로 만들어 가기 위해 공직자와 함께 힘을 모아 변화를 이끌어 가는 ‘소통과 혁신행정’을 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
주최 측은 “준비한 2,000그릇의 떡국이 모두 동이 났다”고 밝혔다.

The New Year's Eve event hosted and supervised by the Gunpo-si Saemaeul Association was sponsored by Gunpo-si, Gunpo Women's Association, Nonghyup Gunpo Branch, and Gunpo Yechong.
On this day, Gunpo Mayor Ha Eun-ho, City Council Chairman Lee Gil-ho, National Assembly member Lee Hak-young, People's Power Organizing Committee Chairman Choi Jin-hak, former and incumbent city and provincial councilors, and about 2,000 citizens gathered around Banwol Lake from 6 am to form a sea of phosphates.
