[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군에서 생산된 아스파라거스가 국내시장을 넘어 수출시장 공략에 나섰다.
거창군은 18일 농업회사법인 ㈜디피앤에스(이하 ㈜디피앤에스) 김현주 대표, 박춘은 거창 아스파라거스 작목반 반장, 박승진 농업기술센터 소장, 수출 관계자 등이 참석한 가운데 거창 아스파라거스 일본 수출을 기념했다.
거창군에서는 2019년부터 아스파라거스 생산을 시작해 현재 20여 농가에서 아스파라거스를 재배해 판매하고 있으며, 3월부터 5~6월 휴식기를 거쳐 9월까지 수확한다.
거창 아스파라거스는 달큰한 풍미와 부드러운 식감을 인정받아 일본 동경과 후쿠오카 지역으로 첫 500kg 물량을 수출했다.
또한, ㈜디피앤에스와 농업기술센터에서는 아스파라거스 수출을 위해 ㈜경남무역과 협력해 일본 수출을 진행했으며, 휴식기 이후 ㈜경남무역 및 비엔에스무역을 통해 지속적으로 수출을 이어나갈 계획이다.
김현주 대표는 “함께 아스파라거스를 생산하는 농가의 노력과 협력 덕분에 수출을 하게 됐다”라며 “고품질 아스파라거스 생산을 통해 다양한 수출시장을 개척하고 거창 아스파라거스의 가치를 높이는 데 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
박승진 소장은 “아스파라거스 수출이 거창 신선농산물 수출분야에서 경쟁력을 더욱 강화하고 농가소득 증대에도 기여할 것으로 기대한다”라며 “신규 수출 신선농산물 발굴과 육성을 위해 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
