세종시 ,'세종의사당 건립 차질' 일부 보도 "사실과 달라"

세종시는 7일 행정중심복합도시건설청의 내년도 예산요구서에 국회세종의사당 건립 관련 예산이 포함되지 않아 사업에 큰 차질이 예상된다는 일부 언론 보도와 관련해 "사실이 아니다"라고 반박했다.

시는 이날 해명자료에서 "국회세종의사당 건립과 관련해 이 확보된 예산은 총 470억 원으로, 부지매입 계약 체결 등 사업 착수를 위한 예산은 충분한 상태"라고 밝혔다.

이어 "행복청은 내년 예산안에 국회세종의사당 건립 예산이 추가로 포함되지 않은 이유로, 국회규칙이 제정되지 않은 점을 들었다"고 해명했다.

시는 “국회규칙 제정이 지연돼 세종의사당 사업규모가 확정되지 않았고, 이로 인해 총사업비가 최초 등록 수준에 머물러 있기 때문"이라며 "국회규칙이 제정되면 이미 확보한 예산은 정상적으로 집행될 것이고, 건립에 필요한 예산은 총사업비 변경 등 협의 절차를 거쳐 추가 확보해 나가겠다고 설명했다.

그러면서 "국회운영위원회에서 활동하고 있는 홍성국 의원과 국회규칙 제정을 위해 적극적인 협력을 진행할 예정"이라고 덧붙혔다.
