세종시 경제부시장에 이승원(55) 전 기획재정부 미래전략국장이 임명된다.
이 경제부시장은 별정직1급상당 공무원으로, 미래전략수도 세종 구현을 위해 경제 분야에 중점을 두고 중추적인 역할을 담당할 예정이다.
이 부시장은 서울대 경제학과, 서울대 행정대학원 정책학 석사를 거쳐 미국 미주리대에서 경제학 박사 학위를 취득했다.
1994년 제37회 행정고시에 합격해 공직에 입문 후 약 30년 간 대통령비서실, 기획재정부 국유재산심의관, 미래전략국장 등을 역임하며 경제관련 부처에서 오랜 근무 경력과 탁월한 전문성을 갖췄다.
이 경제부시장 임용식은 30일 열린다.
