의왕시 청계동 주민자치위원회(위원장 최승규)가 지난 7월 6일 주민센터 3층 강당에서 자매도시인 괴산군 사리면 주민자치위원회(위원장 우춘식)와 농산물 직거래 등 교류 활성화를 위한 간담회를 가졌다.
두 위원회는 그 간의 교류실적과 앞으로의 발전방안을 모색하고, 상호 간의 우의를 다지는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다. 특히, 이달 14일에 예정된 대학찰옥수수 직거래 행사를 앞두고 그간 실적과 운영상의 문제점, 품질 향상 및 개선방안 등에 대해 양측이 활발히 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.
이날 간담회에는 양측 주민자치위원회 임원진과 의왕시의회 김학기 의장, 괴산군의회 신송규 의장을 비롯해 관계공무원 등 25명이 참석했다.
최승규 청계동 주민자치위원장은 “4년 전 자매결연 체결에 중요한 역할을 해주셨던 양 도시 의회 의장님들께서 함께해 주셔서 더욱 뜻깊은 자리가 됐다”며 “오늘 간담회를 통해 논의된 사항을 적극 반영하여 향후 농산물 직거래를 포함해 더욱 발전적이고 상생할 수 있는 교류 사업을 추진하도록 사리면 주민자치위원회와 함께 노력해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
