이는 행안부의 ‘2023년도 지역사랑 상품권 발행지원사업 종합지침’ 개정에 따른 조치로, 관내 전체 가맹점 1,913개 중 농협하나로마트, 중형마트, 주유소 등 가맹점 49개가 2022년 기준 연 매출액 30억 원이 초과해 가맹점 사용이 정지된다.

다만, 농어민수당 등 영덕군에서 정책 수당으로 발행하는 상품권은 현행대로 모든 가맹점에서 사용할 수 있다.

군 관계자는 “이번 영덕사랑상품권 사용처 개편을 통해 소상공인 가맹점 중심으로 상품권 사용이 확대돼 골목상권이 더욱 강화될 것으로 기대한다”고 전했다.
