‘영덕 문화유산 야행’, 문화재청 공모사업 3년 연속 선정

21일 영덕군에 따르면 문화유산 야행 사업은 지역에 집적된 문화유산과 그 주변 문화 콘텐츠를 하나로 묶어 활용하는 사업으로, 지역의 문화유산을 향유할 기회를 제공함으로써 주민들의 삶의 질을 높이고 관광객 유치로 지역의 문화, 관광, 경제를 활성화하는 야간 특화 프로그램이다.

매년 성공적인 행사를 개최하고 있는 영덕군은 내년 문화유산 야행을 10월에 개최할 계획이며, ‘영해 1924 그날 밤을 거닐다’를 부제로 1924년을 임의의 시점으로 정해 영해장터거리 근대역사문화공간을 살았던 영해면민들의 이야기를 ‘8야(夜)’라는 여덟 가지의 프로그램으로 풀어낼 예정이다.

김광열 영덕군수는 “영해 장터거리 근대역사 공간은 그 역사성과 가치를 인정받아 문화유산으로 등록된 곳”이라며, “3년 연속 공모에 선정된 만큼 지역민과 함께 새로운 문화와 미래를 열 수 있는 행사를 추진하도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
