브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 더불어민주당은 22일 조수진 변호사가 후보직을 자진사퇴한 서울 강북을에 친명계 한민수 대변인을 전략공천했다.
민주당은 경선 차점자였던 박용진 의원은 이번에도 배제되면서 '비명횡사'의 대표적인 사례가 됐다.
강민석 대변인은 이날 서면 브리핑을 통해 "이재명 당 대표는 위임받은 당무위원회와 최고위원회의 권한으로 서울 강북을 후보로 한민수 대변인을 의결 및 인준했다"고 밝혔다.
앞서 안규백 전략공천관리위원장도 이날 CBS라디오 '김현정의 뉴스쇼'에 나와 "하위 10%, 20%에 포함되거나 경선에서 탈락한 사람이 다시 공천받은 경우는 특별한 경우 아니고 한 번도 없었다"면서 경선 차점자인 박용진 의원에게 공천하지 않겠다는 의지를 내비쳤다.
이에 따라 박용진 의원은 총 3번이나 경선을 치른 끝에 결국 공천에서 탈락하게 됐다.
한편, 민주당은 강북을 후보 확정을 마지막으로 오는 4·10 총선 공천 작업은 마무리됐다.
