(화순=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남 화순군이 한국 난 산업의 저변 확대와 지역 농업 경쟁력 강화를 위해 광역권 협력 체계 구축에 나섰다.
군은 지난 20일 화순군청 소회의실에서 부경원예농업협동조합, 도곡농업협동조합과 함께 ‘한국 난 산업 활성화 및 원예작물 교류를 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 (사)한국난문화협회 부산협회와 화순난연합회 관계자 등 20여 명이 참석해 농업 발전을 위한 실질적인 협력을 약속했다.
이번 협약은 춘란의 산업적 가치를 높이고 원예작물의 안정적인 생산·유통 시스템을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다. 협약의 주요 내용은 ▲한국 난 산업 육성 및 경쟁력 강화 ▲원예작물 생산·유통·판매 활성화 ▲시장 진출 및 신규 판로 개척 협력 ▲박람회·전시회 등 홍보 활동 지원 등이다.
특히 이번 행사에서는 화순난연합회와 (사)한국난문화협회 부산협회 간의 별도 협약도 함께 진행됐다. 이를 통해 영·호남을 잇는 난 문화 확산과 민간 차원의 활발한 교류 증진이 이뤄질 전망이다.
화순군은 이번 협약을 기점으로 지역 원예 농산물의 유통망을 전국으로 확대하고, 전국 단위 전시회 및 박람회에 적극 참여해 '난 산업의 중심지'로서의 위상을 굳건히 할 계획이다.
최인환 농업정책과장은 “이번 협약을 통해 난 산업과 원예작물 교류가 본격화되면 지역 농가의 소득 증대는 물론 지역 경제 활성화에도 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.
