더불어민주당 대전광역시당이 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 실시한 대전 동구청장과 서구청장 최종 후보와 기초의회 의원 후보자 선정 결과를 발표했다.
21일 늦은 밤 발표된 경선 결과에 따르면, 관심을 모았던 대전 동구청장 후보로는 황인호 후보가 최종 확정됐다. 황 후보는 윤기식 후보와의 결선 끝에 본선행 티켓을 거머쥐었다.
대전 서구청장 경선 역시 전문학 후보가 신혜영 후보를 제치고 당의 최종 후보로 선출됐다. 이로써 민주당 대전시당은 기초단체장 선거를 이끌 대전지역 핵심 라인업을 보강하며 전열을 가다듬게 됐다.
기초의원 경선 결과도 함께 발표됐다. 대전 중구 나선거구 기초의원 후보자 경선에서는 윤원옥 후보가 '1-가'번을, 김선옥 후보가 '1-나'번을 부여받으며 공천을 확정 지었다.

동구와 서구의회 비례대표 후보자 선출도 마무리됐다.
대전 동구의회 비례대표 후보로는 김은지 후보가 확정됐으며, 박미경 후보는 고배를 마셨다. 대전 서구의회 비례대표 경선에서는 최혜연 후보가 한명자 후보를 누르고 후보로 최종 선출됐다.
민주당 대전시당 관계자는 "이번 경선은 당원들의 뜻을 공정하게 반영하는 데 주력했다"며 "선출된 후보들을 중심으로 지방선거 승리를 위해 시당 차원의 모든 역량을 집중할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
