28일 경주시에 따르면 차량 통제 기간은 다음달 5일부터 27일까지 매주 금요일 오전 7시부터 일요일 새벽 3시까지다.
차량 출입이 통제되는 곳은 경주시 계림로 ‘황남빵 사거리’부터 ‘쪽샘 공영주차장’까지 총 600m 구간이다.
시는 차량 통제 기간 프리마켓, 푸드트럭 및 공연 등 다양한 볼거리 및 체험공간으로 채울 작정이다.
또 도예 및 화훼 수제품 만들기 체험행사를 통해 가족 단위 관람객들을 위한 프로그램도 제공한다.
특히 이곳 돌담길에 만개한 봄꽃에 어울릴만한 케이팝 커버댄스, 비보잉, 전통무용 등의 버스킹 공연도 준비할 예정이다.
다만 이번 행사는 입장객들의 안전을 위해 차량 통제 기간 매주 금·토 오전 11시부터 오후 10시까지만 운영된다.
경주시는 이 기간 인파 밀집에 따른 사고에 대비 △대릉원 동문 △숙영식당 옆길 △첨성대 방향 안내소 옆길 등을 대피로로 활용할 계획이다.
이밖에도 행사 기간 차량 진입으로 인한 불필요한 교통체증을 막기 위해 시가지 일원 20곳에 안내 현수막과 배너를 게첨·게시할 계획이다.
