브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 4·10 총선이 하루 앞으로 다가온 가운데 여야 지도부는 절박함을 호소하며 투표를 독려하고 나섰다.
먼저 한동훈 국민의힘 비상대책위원장은 9일 입장문을 통해 "여러분의 성원으로 어려웠던 선거가 조금씩 좋아지고 있지만 아직도 많이 어렵다"면서 "딱 한 표가 부족하다. 본 투표에서 압도적으로 지지해 주셔야 대한민국이 나락으로 떨어지는 것을 막을 수 있다"고 강조했다.
이어 "야당이 범죄자 공천하고 막말 공천하고 여성비하 공천하고도 200석을 얻겠다고 큰 소리를 치고 있지만 저희들의 부족함 때문에 이들을 막기 벅차다"면서 "이렇게 무도하고 뻔뻔한 야당을 견제할 수 있는 최소한의 의석을 달라. 지난 2년간 범죄자집단을 상대로 악전고투해 온 정부와 여당에게 계속 싸울 수 있는 힘을 달라"고 말했다.
그는 "4년 내내 일은 하지 않고 방탄만 하려는 세력, 줄줄이 엮여서 감옥에 가야할 사람들에게 내 나라, 우리 위대한 대한민국의 입법부를 맡길 수는 없다"면서 "뻔뻔한 공천으로 국민을 농락하고 있는 무도한 야당 대신 경제와 민생을 살리고 안보를 튼튼히 지키고, 무엇보다도 국민 무서운 줄 아는 우리 국민의힘에게 힘을 모아 달라"고 요청했다.
한 위원장은 자당 후보자를 향해서도 "저는 지금 이 시간부터 잠시도 쉬지 않고 선거운동이 끝나는 밤 12시까지 뛰겠다. 여러분께서도 마지막까지 최선을 다해 달라"며 "여러분의 악수 한 번이, 여러분의 인사 한 번이 대한민국을 살린다는 각오로 뛰고, 또 뛰어 달라. 오로지 국민을 믿고 마지막까지 뛰어달라. 우리는 절대 질 수 없다"고 독려했다.
이재명 더불어민주당 대표도 8일 밤 공개된 유튜브 채널 '김어준의 겸손은 힘들다 뉴스광장' 동행 취재 인터뷰를 통해 "대선 때의 마음 상태하고 지금 상태를 비교해 보면 대선 때는 더 나은 세상 만들 수 있겠다, 그래야 된다 생각했다면 지금은 나라를 구해야겠다 이런 생각"이라며 "책임감, 부담감이 다른 선거랑 비교가 안 될 정도"라고 밝혔다.
이재명 대표는 ""제 부족함 때문에 생긴 대선 패배 후유증일 수도 있고 이걸 그냥 방치하면 얼마나 많은 사람이 고통받고 이 나라가 후퇴할까 그 걱정이 사실 너무 크다"며 "대선 때도 이러지 않았다. 대선 때 안 갔던 곳까지 더 많이 간다"고 강조했다.
이어 그는 정부여당의 관권선거 논란을 언급하며 "선거 때가 되면 멈추는데 선거 때 돼서 시작했다. 법이고 뭐고 그냥 본인은 예외라고 생각하는지 국민을 한 개도 안 두려워한다. 마이크로 야단친다"라고 비판했다.
