대학혁신지원사업의 일환으로 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스 취업지원센터/대학일자리플러스센터에서 주관하고 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스, 교육부가 주최하는 이번 행사는 포항고용복지센터, ㈜인쿠르트, YBM ETS TOEIC, ㈜일로일룸, ㈜인지어스, ㈜지에스씨넷의 후원으로 이뤄졌다.
이번 행사는 한국수력원자력, 코레일, 국민건강보험공단등 공기업 및 공공기관, 현대자동차, LG이노텍, LS Electri등의 대기업 종사자뿐 아니라 국회의원 비서관, 취재기자, 웹소설가, 미디어 그래픽 디자이너, 경찰등 다양한 직무에 근무 중인 동문 선배 40여명이 참가하여진로, 직무, 취업상담을 진행했다.
특히, 이번 박람회의 가장 큰 특징은 다양한 직무에 근무 중인 동문 선배들을 초청하여 재학생들이 △진로탐색 △희망진로분야 설정 △미래경력목표 설정 △경력개발에 이르기까지 원스탑 상담이 가능하도록 기획되었다.
이를 위해 진로탐색 및 설정을 위한 동문선배들이 상담하는 △진로·직무상담 ZONE과 학생들의 경력관리 및 개발을 위한진로, 취업, 창업, 학습법, 해외교환학생, 해외인턴·취업, 어학시험, 대학청년고용정책 관련 상담이 가능한 △경력관리상담 ZONE, 휴먼컬러컨설팅, 퍼스널컬러컨설팅 등의 △이벤트 ZONE으로 구성되어 참여 학생들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
하성 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 대학일자리플러스센터장은 “이번 진로·직무 박람회는 동문 선배와 함께 다양한 직무를 탐색하여 진로를 결정하고 준비해 졸업 시에 본인이 희망하는 분야로 취업할 수 있도록 마련되었으며, 2학기에는 실전 취업준비를 위한 취업박람회를 개최하여 진로탐색 및 설정부터 실전 취업준비까지 학생들의 취업지원을 지속적으로 강화할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.
행사에 참여한 한국철도공사(코레일)에 근무하는 영어영문학과 15학번 강지수 졸업생은 “진로 및 취업 관련해서 고민이 많은 후배들에게 조금이나마 도움을 줄 수 있어 보람을 느꼈으며, 앞으로도 기회가 된다면 후배들에게 도움을 줄 수 있는 선배가 되고 싶고, 모든 후배들의 건승을 기원한다”고 말했다.
아동청소년교육학과 3학년 서준표 학생은 “진로에 대하여 막연하게 생각했는데 이번 행사를 통해 졸업생 선배의 생생한 경험담과 조언을 들으면서 많은 생각을 할 수 있었다며 선배님들이 조언해주신대로 진로를 설정하고 우리대학에서 제공하는 여러 프로그램을 이수하고, 기타 활동들을 통하여 원하는 직무로 취업성공하여 꼭 이 자리에 졸업생 상담자로 오도록 하겠다” 라며 자신감을 비췄다.

Kang Ji-su, a Class of ’15 graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature who works at the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), who participated in the event, said, “I felt rewarded because I was able to provide some help to juniors who have a lot of concerns about career and employment, and if I have the opportunity in the future, I will do my best to help juniors.” “I want to be a senior who can help, and I wish good luck to all my juniors,” he said.
