한수원, 원자력 청정수소 생산.활용 사업화 박차...관련회사와 업무협약 체결

이번 협약을 통해 국내 탄소중립 및 수소경제 활성화를 선도하는 기업 및 공공기관들이 원자력 청정수소 생산 실증의 성공적인 수행과 적기 사업화 추진을 위해 긴밀한 협력 체계를 구축하기로 뜻을 모았다.

이들 기관은 협약에 따라 원자력 청정수소 생산 대용량 상용 플랜트 구축.운영, 국내 및 해외 수출형 원자력 청정수소 생산 사업모델 개발, 국내 청정수소 생산.활용을 위한 사업 기반 조성(안전.규제, 법.제도 등) 등에 적극 협력하기로 했다.

한수원은 2022년부터 2년간 원자력 청정수소 기반연구를 수행했으며, 이를 바탕으로 올해부터 4년간 12개 기관과 협력해 국가연구개발사업의 하나로 ‘원전 전력 연계 저온 수전해 수소 생산 및 운영 실증’(정부출연금 290억 원)을 수행할 계획이다.
