세종시교육청과 세종교육회의는 5일 시교육청사 3층 접견실에서 ‘세종교육회의 정책제안서 전달식’을 가졌다.
이날 전달식에는 최교진 교육감과 장수명 세종교육회의 대표 의장을 비롯해 공동의장(신명희 교육국장, 최병조 행정수도시민연대 집행위원장, 이상미 전교조 세종지부장), 교육청 관계자 등이 함께했다.
앞서 세종교육회의는 지난 6월 공동 의제와 분과 의제에 관한 숙의와 토론 과정을 거쳤다. 7월에는 연찬회를 열어 관련 내용을 공유했으며, 8월에는 본회의를 열어 최종적으로 정책 제안서를 확정했다.
정책제안서에는 공동 의제와 분과 의제 총 17건을 담았다.
공동 의제는 학생 지원 강화와 교권 회복의 중요성을 강조한 ▲생활, 정서, 학습 등에 대한 통합 지원 강화 ▲교권 존중과 공공성을 위한 권고 ▲교육청과 시청 협력을 통한 세종 지역 교육생태계 구성과 운영 등 총 3건으로 구성돼 있다.
분과 의제는 5개의 분과에서 제안한 내용을 분야별로 ▲세종교육 기초 학력 보장을 위한 정책 제안 ▲모두의 미래학교를 위한 지속가능성 확보 ▲지역의 교육공동체가 함께하는 중증장애인 학생 일자리 프로그램 운영 ▲마을교육지원센터 교육자원 연계 시스템 운영 및 마을교육활동가 역량 강화 등 총 14건으로 구성했다.
장수명 대표 의장은 “교육청에서 추진하는 정책은 아이들과 선생님들의 삶에 밀접한 관련이 있다.”며, “아이들이 배움에 사각지대가 없고, 선생님들이 존중받는 학교 문화를 만들기 위해 더욱 고민하겠다.”고 말했다.
최교진 교육감은 “세종교육 현안에 대한 숙의와 토론으로 의미 있는 정책을 제안해 주신 것에 대해 진심으로 감사드린다.”라며, “세종교육회의에서 공들인 시간과 노력이 세종교육의 희망찬 내일로 이어지도록 2025년 주요 업무 계획과 본예산 편성 등에 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.
한편, 세종교육회의는 2023년 5월에 출범한 세종지역 민·관·학 협치 기구이며, 5개 분과 100여 명의 구성원으로 이루어져 있다.
더불어, 세종교육회의는 지역 발전과 연계한 세종교육의 발전 방향을 제안하고 자문하는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.

Meanwhile, the Sejong Education Council is a public-private-academic cooperative organization in the Sejong region that was launched in May 2023, and is comprised of five divisions and approximately 100 members.
