[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 수원시가 ‘탄소중립 그린도시’ 상생 거버넌스 협력체계를 구축한다.
수원시와 네이버클라우드㈜, CJ올리브네트웍스㈜, 아마존웹서비스코리아, 코나아이㈜, 주식회사 동네형, 수원시 탄소중립 그린도시 주민기획단은 10일 수원시청 상황실에서 ‘새빛으로 그린 수원으로의 대전환을 위한 수원시 탄소중립 그린도시 조성 업무협약’을 체결하고, ‘탄소중립 그린도시 수원’을 함께 만들어 나가기로 했다,
수원시와 기업, 주민기획단은 ▲ESG 경영 가치 실현을 위한 지역사회 탄소중립 사업 발굴·지원 ▲탄소중립과 에너지 자립 실현을 위한 교육, 실천운동, 공동사업 ▲초거대 AI(인공지능) 등 4차 산업혁명 기술을 활용한 탄소중립 관련 정보교류 등에 협력하기로 했다.
협약 기업들은 수원시 탄소중립 그린도시 정책에 적극적으로 참여하며 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 경영을 실천하기로 했다.
이날 협약식에는 이재준 수원시장, 네이버클라우드㈜ 배주환 상무, CJ올리브네트웍스㈜ 이주영 본부장, 아마존웹서비스코리아 강상백 공공부문 사업총괄, 코나아이㈜ 조정일 대표이사, 주식회사 동네형 이종영 대표, 수원시 탄소중립 그린도시 주민기획단 신호정 대표 등이 참석했다.
기업 관계자들은 “수원시 탄소중립 그린도시 사업이 원활하게 추진되도록, 적극적으로 기술 지원을 하겠다”고 약속했다.
이재준 시장은 “행정과 기업, 주민이 힘을 모으면 수원시를 탄소중립 모범도시로 만들 수 있다”며 “수원시 탄소중립 그린도시 사업이 우리나라, 나아가 전 세계의 본보기가 될 수 있도록 함께 노력하자”고 당부했다.
수원시는 2022년 환경부 주관 ‘탄소중립 그린도시 사업’ 대상지로 선정돼 고색동 일원에서 사업을 추진하고 있다. 탄소중립 그린도시 사업은 ‘탄소중립 사회’ 전환에 발맞춰 지역이 중심이 돼 생활 속에서 체감할 수 있는 ‘탄소중립 이행공간모델’을 조성하고, 탄소중립이 전국으로 확산될 수 있는 체계를 구축하는 것이다.
수원시는 주거지역·상업지구·행정타운·산업시설·환경시설 등이 모여있는 권선구 고색동 일원을 ‘탄소중립 그린도시’로 조성한다. 목표는 ‘2018년도 대비 2030년 온실가스 40% 감축’이다. 사업 대상지는 수인분당선 고색역을 중심으로 반경 2㎞(약 9㎢)다. 국비 240억 원, 도비 48억 원, 시비 112억 원 등 총사업비 400억 원을 투입해 2026년 12월까지 사업을 진행한다.
