대통령실이 18일 북한의 탄도미사일 발사 도발에 긴급 안보상황점검회의를 개최하고 대응 방안을 논의했다.
대통령실은 이날 오전 인성환 국가안보실 제2차장 주재로 긴급 안보상황점검회의를 열어 북한의 탄도미사일 도발 의도 파악 및 군 대비 태세 등을 점검했다.
북한의 탄도미사일 도발은 지난 12일 이후 엿새 만인 가운데 지난 13일 핵탄두 제조에 쓰이는 고농축 우라늄(HEU) 제조 시설 공개 후 닷새 만이다.
합동참모본부에 따르면 군은 북한이 오전 6시 50분께 평안남도 개천 일대에서 동북 방향으로 발사한 단거리탄도미사일(SRBM) 수 발을 포착한 가운데 해당 미사일은 약 400㎞를 비행했다.
