[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 경상남도는 23일 오전 창원스포츠파크 만남의광장에서 박완수 경남도지사, 최학범 도의회 의장, 김상기 한국친환경농업협회장을 비롯한 관계자 및 친환경농업인 800여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘제12회 경상남도 친환경농업인대회’를 개최했다.
이날 행사는 ‘지구를 살리는 농업, 커져라 친환경으로!’라는 주제 아래 친환경농업의 중요성을 다시 한번 인식하고 회원간 정보교류와 상호 협력체계를 구축하기 위해 마련됐다.
박 도지사는 2024년 친환경 생태농업대상 수상자를 격려하고 친환경농업 육성에 기여한 유공 농업인에게 표창을 수여했다. 또한 경남 친환경농업의 번영을 기원한다는 의미를 담은 기념나무에 물을 주며 친환경농업인들과 함께 부자 농업에 대한 뜻을 모았다.

박완수 도지사는 축사를 통해 “친환경 농업인들이 지구도 살리고 토양도 보호하고 국민의 건강도 지키는 일거삼득의 역할을 하고 있다”며 “우리 도는 친환경 농산물 전략 품목을 늘리고, 친환경 인증 면적도 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
2024년 친환경 생태농업대상 개인부문 대상에는 창녕군 김보순 씨가, 우수상은 김해시 박호성 씨가 각각 수상했다.
김보순 씨는 유기농 6.8ha, 무농약 4.4ha 면적에서 친환경 벼와 감자를 재배해 연간 1억 6천만 원의 매출을 달성하고 있으며, 박호성 씨는 유기농 5.4ha, 무농약 3.1ha에서 재배한 친환경 벼로 연간 1억 1천5백만 원의 매출을 달성했다.
단체부문 대상에는 39개 농가가 유기농 50.8ha, 무농약 3.8ha의 친환경 벼를 재배해 연간 4억 3천4백만 원의 매출을 거두고 있는 고성군 독실단지(대표 빈상철)가, 우수상에는 16개 농가가 무농약 11.6ha의 친환경 벼를 재배해 연간 8천 9백만 원의 매출을 달성하고 있는 사천시 학마을 친환경영농조합법인(대표 하봉욱)이 각각 수상했다.
우수 시·군 평가에는 고성군이 친환경농업 육성 교육실적, 의무자조금 납부실적, 친환경벼 재배단지 농기계 지원 및 병해충 방제 지원 등의 우수사례로 최우수의 영예를 안았으며, 뒤이어 거창군, 의령군이 우수와 장려를 수상했다.
