세종시가 내달 1일부터 시민들의 대중교통 이용 편의를 높이기 위해 이응패스에 모바일 결제 서비스를 도입한다고 13일 밝혔다.
이응패스 모바일 결제는 안드로이드 폰에서 삼성페이, 모바일티머니, 신한솔(SOL)페이, 페이코티머니, 갤럭시워치티머니 앱 등을 통해 가능하다.
아이폰의 경우 향후 애플페이에 교통기능이 도입되면 지원할 예정이다.
단, 이응패스 모바일 결제를 이용하기 위해서는 이응패스 앱 또는 신한카드사 홈페이지에서 이응패스 카드를 먼저 발급·신청해야 한다.
이응패스 실물 카드가 이미 있는 시민들은 모바일 결제 서비스가 도입되는 오는 12월부터 핸드폰만으로 편리하게 대중교통을 이용하고 이응패스 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
이응패스는 지난 9월 본격적으로 시행된 이후 현재까지 시민들의 높은 관심 속 긍정적인 반응을 얻고 있다.
대전세종연구원에서 시행한 설문조사에 따르면 이번 설문조사에 참여한 시민 95%가 이응패스를 인지하고 있었다.
또 응답자 중 92%는 대중교통 활성화와 교통약자를 위한 이응패스 시행 필요성에 공감했고 이응패스 가입자 72%는 이응패스 이용에 만족하고 있었다.
특히 응답자 중 50%는 이응패스에 가입한 후 대중교통 이용 횟수가 늘었다고 답해 이응패스가 대중교통 활성화 차원에서 효과를 보인 것으로 나타났다.
