논산시(시장 백성현)가 지난 21일부터 23일까지 서울시 서초구 양재동 에이티(aT) 센터에서 개최된 '2024 대한민국 과일산업대전'에서 '2027 논산세계딸기산업엑스포' 국제 행사 승인 소식을 알렸다.
딸기 생산량, 재배면적, 농가 수 등 관련 지표 1위인 논산은 전국 유일의 딸기연구소를 보유한 국내 최대 딸기 주산지이다. 특히 연구소가 개발한 설향, 킹스베리, 비타베리와 같은 국산 딸기 품종 점유율이 96.3%에 이를 정도로 높아 재배 농가들의 자부심 또한 상당하다.
