브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 대통령 탄핵 심판 과정에서 부정선거 논란이 다시 사회적 이슈로 떠오르는 가운데, 선거 시스템 전반을 특별 점검해야 한다는 주장이 나오고 있다.
박수민 국민의힘 의원은 24일 국회 소통관에서 ‘국론 통합을 위한 대한민국 선거와 투개표 시스템의 건강성 점검과 보완을 위한 특별법안’(일명: 선거제도 건강검진법) 추진 계획을 밝혔다.
박수민 의원은 "그간 SNS와 온라인 매체를 중심으로 회자된 선거에 대한 의혹과 의구심이 다시 크게 부풀었다"라며 "이제 정치가 답을 해야 할 때다. 선거와 투개표 시스템에 대한 논란이 국민 분열로 이어지는 상황을 더 이상 간과할 수 없었다"고 법안 추진 이유를 설명했다.
해당 법안은 대한민국 선거와 투개표 시스템 전반의 점검을 목표로 하고 있다.
우선 점검대상은 제21대 국회의원선거(2020년), 제20대 대통령선거(2022년), 제8회 전국동시지방선거(2022년), 제22대 국회의원선거(2024년) 등 최근 5년내 실시한 선거 등이다.
또한 국회의장 및 여야 교섭단체가 추천하는 위원으로 구성된 ‘특별점검위원회’를 설치해 문제점과 보완책을 동시에 점검해 나감으로써, 현재 심각하게 진행 중인 국론 분열을 깨끗이 극복해나가는 것을 최종 목표로 한다는 계획이다.
박 의원은 "특별법과 특별점검위원회를 통해 대한민국 선거와 투개표 시스템에 대한 국민 신뢰가 회복돼야 한다. 선거가 다시 국민 통합의 장으로 작동해내야 한다"고 강조했다.

Rep. Park Soo-min to Promote 'Special Act on Election and Voting and Counting System'
Amid the controversy over election and voting system and election fraud resurfacing as social issues during the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol, a bill is being promoted to conduct a special inspection of the entire election system of the Republic of Korea.
