당진시(시장 오성환)는 오는 2월 28일부터 읍면동 행정복지센터에서 모바일 주민등록증 발급 서비스를 시작한다고 27일 밝혔다.
모바일 주민등록증은 개인 휴대전화에 안전하게 저장되어 실물 주민등록증과 동일한 효력을 지니며, 행정·금융기관 및 병원 등에서 사용할 수 있다.
이번 서비스는 QR코드를 통한 발급과 직접회로(IC) 주민등록증 발급 방식으로 나뉜다. 발급 신청을 위해서는 '대한민국 모바일 신분증' 앱을 먼저 설치해야 한다.
QR코드를 통한 발급은 실물 주민등록증을 소지한 후 읍면동 행정복지센터를 방문해 모바일 주민등록 발급용 QR코드를 촬영하는 방식이다.
이 경우 신청 즉시 발급되며, 발급 비용은 무료이다. 단, 휴대전화를 교체하거나 실물 주민등록증을 분실할 경우 행정복지센터를 방문해 재발급받아야 한다.
직접회로(IC) 주민등록증 발급은 IC칩이 내장된 실물 주민등록증을 발급받아 이를 개인 휴대전화에 접촉해 모바일 주민등록증을 등록하는 방법이다.
이 경우에는 6개월 이내에 촬영한 증명사진이 필요하며, IC칩(5천 원)과 실물 주민등록증 재발급(5천 원) 비용을 포함하여 총 1만 원의 비용이 발생한다.
