세종시가 중소벤처기업부의 제11차 규제자유특구 신규 지정을 위한 사업 발굴에 나선다.
이를 위해 세종시와 (재)세종테크노파크는 오는 17일부터 21일까지 지역 기업 및 기관을 대상으로 규제에 가로막혀 시장 진입이 어려운 기술과 서비스를 보유한 기업·기관의 의견을 수렴하는 수요조사를 진행한다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 수요조사는 지역 내 다양한 기업과 기관의 목소리를 반영하여 신규 특구 기획 분야를 선정하고, 특구 계획을 수립하는 데 기초 자료로 활용될 예정이다.
규제자유특구는 비수도권 지역에서 신기술을 자유롭게 실증하고 신사업을 추진할 수 있도록 각종 규제를 유예 또는 면제하는 제도로, 지정 시 실증특례와 임시허가 등의 규제혁신을 활용할 수 있다. 또한 재정 지원과 부담금 감면 등의 혜택도 제공된다.
세종시는 2019년부터 2024년까지 1·4차 규제자유특구로 지정되어 도심 내 자율주행 셔틀 운행, 실외 로봇 배달·방역·보안 순찰 실증 등 다양한 성과를 창출하며 미래모빌리티 혁신을 이끌어왔다.
이번 수요조사는 세종시에 본사 또는 사업장을 둔 기업, 연구기관, 대학 등을 대상으로 하며, 사업 분야는 양자, 정보보호, 미래모빌리티, 디지털 헬스케어, 디지털 콘텐츠, 방송·영상·미디어 등 세종시의 5+1 미래전략 산업 및 신기술·신산업 전반에 걸쳐 진행된다.
