김해시 관내 주요 사찰 6곳 찾아 소통

[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 홍태용 김해시장이 지난 13일부터 20일까지 관내 주요 사찰 6곳을 방문해 주지 스님과 격의 없는 소통의 시간을 가졌다.

또 시·군 통합 30주년인 올해, 지난 30년 축적된 경험과 성과를 토대로 도시 대전환의 원념으로 삼아 글로컬 시티로 나아가고자 하는 시정 방향을 설명하며 불교계의 많은 관심과 성원을 요청했다.

이번 방문은 지난 13일 대한불교 천태종 해성사를 시작으로 가야불교 성지 흥부암, 다음 날인 14일은 분산성에 위치한 성조암을 방문한 데 이어 17일은 우리나라에 불교가 최초로 전래된 장유사, 20일은 천년 고찰 은하사, 신비한 거북상이 상징인 구천암 순으로 마무리됐다.

홍 시장은 “김해시는 부처님의 가르침을 담은 시정으로 시민의 더 나은 삶을 위해 노력하겠다”며 “가야문화와 역사의 전통과 정체성 위에서 글로컬 시티 김해를 향해 달려가는 한해 각계각층의 성원과 관심을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
