충남 서산시가 올해 5월 19일 서산을 모항으로 출항하는 국제 크루즈선의 성공적인 운영을 위해 관계기관과 행정력을 집중한다.
시는 24일 시청 대회의실에서 ‘2025 서산 모항 국제 크루즈선 운항 활성화 TF 2차 회의’를 개최했다.
이번 국제 크루즈선은 5월 19일부터 25일까지 6박 7일의 일정으로 서산 대산항에서 출항하여 대만과 일본을 거쳐 부산항에 입항할 예정이다.
특히, 대만에서 1박을 체류하며 주야간 관광을 즐길 수 있는 ‘크루즈 오버나잇’ 일정이 포함되어 많은 관심을 받고 있다.
회의에는 이완섭 서산시장을 비롯한 관련 기관 관계자 50여 명이 참석하여 각 기관별 운항 준비 상황을 점검하고, 관광객이 서산을 만족스럽게 방문할 수 있도록 지원 계획을 공유했다.
또한, 지난해 서산 대산항에서 처음 출항한 국제 크루즈선의 운항 결과를 분석하고, 부족한 부분을 보완하기 위한 방안도 논의됐다.
관광객의 안전과 편의를 위해 관광 안내소 운영, 삼길포 주차장 정비, 대산 지역 셔틀버스 운행, 소방 및 구급 차량 대기 등의 다양한 사항이 검토되었으며, 세관, 출입국, 검역 등 관련기관과 함께 탑승수속 체계를 사전에 정비할 계획임을 밝혔다.
이완섭 서산시장은 “지난해 충청권 최초의 서해안 바닷길을 깨운 신화를 기록한 서산 모항 국제 크루즈선이 올해에도 성공적으로 취항할 수 있도록 행정력을 집중하겠다”고 전했다.
