이날 행사는 “새로운 문화예술의 시대, 왜 사진인가”라는 부제로 사진을 ‘일상예술’로 실현하고, 사진교육과 인재양성을 위한 법·제도적 기반을 마련하자는 취지에서 기획되었다.

이필 현대예술사진학회장은“사진을 시각예술 하위가 아닌 독립 장르로 인식하며 국제교류 지원 체계도 함께 마련돼야 한다”라고 밝혔다.
