정부합동평가는 정부업무평가 기본법에 따라 국가위임사무, 국고보조사업, 국정 주요 시책 등 지방자치단체의 종합적인 추진 실적을 평가하는 정부 차원의 유일한 평가다.
이번 평가는 6개 국정목표에 따른 95개 지표와 경상북도의 주요 정책 10개 지표를 포함한 총 105개 지표를 대상으로 실시됐다. 실적 분석과 중앙부처 및 시·도 간의 엄격한 합동 검증을 거쳐 공정하고 객관적인 방식으로 진행됐다.
경주시는 탁월한 행정 역량과 시민과의 적극적인 소통을 바탕으로 정량·정성 지표 전반에서 우수한 성과를 거두며, 지난해에 이어 올해에도 우수기관으로 선정되는 저력을 보여주었다.
특히, ‘최우수상’ 수상으로 경상북도에서 1억 2천만 원의 재정 인센티브를 확보하는 성과를 올렸다.
세부적으로 살펴보면, 경주시는 △문화누리카드 이용 활성화 △반려동물 등록률 △의료급여수급권자 건강검진 수검률 △신기술제품 우선구매율 △배출사업장 환경관리 개선도 △구제역 백신 항체양성률 등 문화, 경제, 보건, 복지, 환경, 농축산 전 분야에서 고른 성과를 나타내며 정량지표 목표 달성률 89%를 기록했다.
정성지표 분야에서도 △임신·출산 친화 환경 조성 △초등돌봄 활성화 △자원봉사 활성화 등 다양한 지표에서 우수 사례로 선정되며 경상북도 내 시·군 중 높은 정책 기여도를 인정받았다.

In the qualitative indicator field, it was also selected as an excellent case in various indicators, such as △Creation of a pregnancy and childbirth-friendly environment, △Activation of elementary care, and △Activation of volunteer work, and was recognized for its high policy contribution among cities and counties in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
