브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 세계 3대 신용평가사 중 한 곳인 무디스는 16일(현지 시간) 미국의 국가신용등급을 Aaa에서 Aa1로 강등했다.
이날 AFP통신 보도에 따르면 미국기업인 무디스는 미국 정부 부채와 이자 지급 비율이 10년 이상 증가해 비슷한 신용등급을 받은 다른 국가보다 상당히 높은 수준까지 이르렀다면서 국가신용등급 하향 조정을 결정했다.
이에 따라 미국은 최고 등급인 Aaa에서 Aa1로 한 단계 하향 조정됐다.
다만 무디스는 미국의 국가등급 전망에 대해선 '부정적(negative)'에서 '안정적(stable)'으로 변경했다.

Moody's Downgrades US National Credit Rating by One Level...Aaa→Aa1
Moody's, one of the world's top three credit rating agencies, downgraded the US national credit rating from Aaa to Aa1 on the 16th (local time).
