브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차의 전동화 플래그십 SUV ‘아이오닉 9’이 주한네덜란드대사관의 공식 관용차로 선정됐다.
현대차는 지난 27일 현대차 아산공장에서 페이터 반 더 플리트(Peter van der Vliet) 주한네덜란드대사, 현대차 GPO 김일범 부사장, 현대차 아산공장장 박세국 전무 등 관계자가 참석한 가운데, 아이오닉 9 공식 관용차 전달식을 진행했다고 28일 밝혔다.
네덜란드는 유럽 최고 수준의 전기차 충전 인프라를 갖춘 전동화 선도국으로 평가받고 있다. 네덜란드대사관은 이러한 친환경차에 대한 관심과 지원에 발맞춰 주한대사 전용 차량을 최초로 전기차로 교체하기로 했다.
주한네덜란드대사관 공식 관용 차량으로 선정된 아이오닉 9은 향후 주한네덜란드대사의 공식 행사 참여 및 공무 집행 시 이동 수단으로 이용될 예정이다.
이번에 네덜란드대사관에서 도입하는 아이오닉 9은 전기차 브랜드 아이오닉의 플래그십 모델로 E-GMP 기반의 대형 전동화 SUV이다.
현대차 관계자는 “아이오닉 9이 탁월한 친환경성과 우수한 상품성을 바탕으로 주한네덜란드대사 공식 전용 차량으로 채택된 것을 기쁘게 생각한다”며 “더 많은 외교 현장에서 아이오닉 9을 비롯한 친환경차가 주목받는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
페이터 반 더 플리트 주한네덜란드대사는 “아이오닉 9의 우수한 주행거리와 높은 경제 효율성 등 뛰어난 친환경성과 실용적인 성능을 고려해 공식 관용차로 직접 선택하게 됐다”며 “주한 공관 최초로 현대차의 선도적인 친환경 기술력을 대표하는 플래그십 아이오닉 9을 공식 차량으로 맞이하게 돼 기쁘다”고 전했다.
한편, 페이터 반 더 플리트 주한네덜란드대사는 현대차 아산공장 내 아이오닉 9 주요 생산 라인을 직접 견학하며 아이오닉 9의 상품성을 체험하는 시간을 가졌다.
