대통령 이재명 경북 안동, 영부인 김혜경 충북 충주, 국무총리 김민석 경남 사천, 비서실장 강훈식 충남 천안, 국정원장 이종석 경기 남양주. 지금 당 대표 물망에 오르는 사람들 명단에도 전라도 인사는 없다. 문재인 정권 때는 국무총리 이낙연 젼남 영광, 비서실장 임종석 전남 장흥이었다. 윤석열 정권 때도 국무총리 한덕수 전북 전주였다. 윤석열 전 대통령은 전라도에서 지지율이 높지 않았어도 그렇게 배려했다.

입은 비뚤어졌어도 말은 바로 하자. 민주당 권력의 9할은 전라도 아니냐. 예나 지금이나 민주당 승리 동력은 전라도의 몰표다. 이번 대선도 마찬가지였다. 전라도가 몰표를 던져줘서 이재명이 이긴 거 아니냐.
민주당도 언론도 언제부터인가 전라도 몰표를 당연하게 여긴다. 고마운 줄 모른다는 것이다. 분명하게 말하지만 이재명 대통령 승리요인은 전라도 몰표다. 세상 어디를 가보라. 전라도만큼 90% 가까이 표를 몰아주는 지역 있는지. 해준 게 있고 없고를 떠나서 고마운 줄은 알아야 하는 거 아니냐.

국무총리 정동영, 비서실장 김윤덕, 통일부장관 이춘석, 행안부장관 한병도. 이렇게 해줘도 섭섭할 것 같다. 몇 십년 간 대선 총선 지방선거 표 몰아준 걸 생각해봐라. 더 중요한 사실은 서울시장 경기지사 모두 전라도 출향민들이 만들어준 거다. 고마운 줄이라도 알아야 한다.

더 솔직히. 이재명 성남시장, 이재명 경기지사, 이재명 대선후보, 이재명 최다득표 석패, 이재명 국회의원, 이재명 당 대표1-이재명 당 대표II- 그리고 이재명 대통령 당선. 전라도 출향민들의 전폭적 지지 아니었으면 가능했을까? 물론 보수 진영에선 증오심이 퍼지겠지만 그래도 사실을 지적하자면 이재명 대통령 시대, 그 일등 공신은 전라도다.
잊으면 안 된다. 노무현 문재인 이재명. 그 권력의 9할은 전라도민들의 지지였다. 전라도는 열심히 몰아주고 예나 지금이나 얻는 건 뭘까? 솔직히 그 지역에서 얻은 지지율이 정권 창출의 기여도 아니냐, 따라서 그 지지율을 감안해 인재 등용을 해야 한다고 본다. yslee1992@kunsan.ac.kr
