브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차가 아산시, 한국환경보전원과 아산 생태계 복원 조성에 적극 참여한다.
현대차는 아산시, 한국환경보전원과 18일 충남 아산시 선장면에서 현대차 GPO 김일범 부사장, 현대차 정상익 안전기획사업부장, 아산시 조일교 부시장, 한국환경보전원 신진수 원장 등 사업 관계자와 지역 주민 100여명이 참석한 가운데 ‘민관협력 자연환경복원 및 생물다양성 증진사업’을 위한 생태공원(Colorful Life ECO Park) 준공식을 개최했다.
생태공원은 철새서식지, 철새관찰장, 생태학습장, 생태정원 등이 조성돼 철새 서식환경 조성은 물론 생태 체험 및 교육이 융합된 복합 생태서비스공간으로 구축될 예정이다.
이 사업은 지난해 12월 현대차가 아산시, 한국환경보전원과 체결한 ‘자연환경복원 및 생물다양성 증진 협약’의 일환으로, 훼손된 철새서식지 복원과 생태학습 공간 조성을 통해 건강한 도시 생태계를 만들고 시민과 미래세대를 위한 지속가능한 환경 기반을 마련하는 데 의미가 있다.
현대차 GPO 김일범 부사장은 “현대자동차는 ‘현대 컨티뉴’를 통해 환경과 미래 세대에 대한 책임을 끊임없이 고민하며 실천해 오고 있다”며 “앞으로도 생물다양성, 자원순환, 탄소중립 등 더 나은 미래를 위한 다양한 사회공헌 활동에 적극 참여할 것이다”고 말했다.
