도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 10일(현지시간) 상호관세 관련해 "나머지 모든 국가는 15%든 20%든 관세를 내게 될 것이며 지금 그 비율을 정할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
이날 미 'NBC 방송'에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 'NBC'와의 전화 인터뷰에서 "모두가 서한받을 필요는 없고, 우리 관세를 정하는 것 뿐"이라며 이같이 말했다. 언급된 나머지 국가는 아직 상호관세 관련 서한을 받지 않은 국가들을 지칭한 것으로 보인다.
앞서 지난 4월 9일 트럼프 행정부는 상호관세 부과를 90일 유예했으나 상호관세 중 교역국에 일률 부과했던 10% 기본관세는 계속 부과 중인 가운데 이보다 조금 높은 수치다.
또 "캐나다·EU(유럽연합)가 오늘이나 내일 새로운 관세율 통지서를 받게 될 것"이라고 밝힌 후 자신의 트루스소셜을 통해 캐나다에 보낸 서한을 공개했다.
