브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 홈플러스는 회생절차 개시 전 진행 중에 있던 신내점 매각이 지난 15일 완료됨에 따라 매각 잔금으로 메리츠 대출 조기상환금 중 515억 원을 추가로 상환했다고 18일 밝혔다. 메리츠 대출 조기상환금에 대해서는 사전에 법원으로부터 회생채권 조기변제 허가를 받아 진행됐다.
이번 메리츠 대출 조기상환 건은 회생절차에 따른 상거래채권이 아닌 금융채권 상환의 첫 번째 사례다.
대출금 일부를 조기 상환하면서 메리츠 대출금 잔액은 1조1000억 원대로 낮아졌으며, 회생채권 총액도 이번 상환액만큼 줄어들었다.
한편, 오픈 후 오랜 시간이 지나면서 점포 노후화가 빠르게 진행 중이던 신내점은 해당 부지의 재개발이 완료되고 나면 신축 건물에 최신 쇼핑 트렌드를 반영한 미래형 마트로 재입점할 계획이다.
