세종시의회가 “세종평생교육·정책연구원장 후보자에 대한 인사청문회를 오는 12일 열기로 합의했다.
세종시의회는 30일 인사청문회 위원 선임을 위한 제99회 임시회를 열어 ‘제99회 임시회회기 결정의 건’과 ‘회의록 서명의원 선임의 건’, ‘세종평생교육·정책연구원 원장 후보자 인사청문특별위원회 위원 선임의 건’ 등 총 3개의 안건을 통과 시키고 폐회했다.
이날 선임된 인사청문특별위원은 행정복지위원회 김현미 위원장과 김영현 부위원장을 비롯해 김충식, 상병헌, 여미전, 이순열, 홍나영 위원과 산업건설위원회 김현옥, 최원석 위원, 교육안전위원회 유인호, 윤지성 위원 등 총 11명이다.
세종평생교육·정책연구원 원장 후보자 인사청문특별위원회는 오는 8월 1일 회의를 열어 인사청문 계획서를 채택한 후 8월 12일 인사청문회를 개최해 원장 후보자 인사검증에 나선다는 계획이다.
세종시의회는 8월 18일까지 세종평생교육·정책연구원 원장 후보자 인사청문특별위원회가 채택한 인사청문경과보고서를 시에 송부할 예정이다.
권영걸 원장 후보자는 서울대학교 디자인학부 교수, 계원예술대학교 총장, 서울디자인재단 이사장 등을 역임하였으며, 현재는 국가건축정책위원회 위원장, 동서대학교 디자인대학 석좌교수로 근무하고 있다.
한편, 세종시의회는 8월 25일 제100회 임시회를 개회하여 2025년도 행정사무감사 지적사항 조치결과를 청취하고 조례안 등을 처리할 예정이다.
