15일 익산시에 따르면 육군부사관학교가 ▲ 학록도서관 ▲ 국립전사박물관 ▲ 계백관(체육관) ▲ 계백공원 ▲ 편의시설 등 주요 시설 5곳을 전면 개방해 누구나 다양한 문화ㆍ체육 공간을 누릴 수 있게 됐다.
개방된 '학록도서관'은 3만 여권의 장서를 보유하고 있는 복합문화공간이다.
열람실ㆍ어린이 자료실ㆍ시네라이브러리를 갖춘 시설로 한국건축문화대상에서 우수상을 받은 건물이다.
'국립전사박물관'은 국내 유일의 '전사(戰士)' 주제 박물관이다.
6·25전쟁 기념실을 비롯 호국영웅 기증품 등 1,796점의 유물이 전시돼 호국 역사를 생생하게 배우고 세대 간 공감대를 나눌 수 있다.
'계백관'은 2023년 새로 문을 연 체육관이다.
