창원특례시, 한국폴리텍Ⅶ대학 창원캠퍼스, (사)부산항신항배후단지물류협회는 25일 한국폴리텍Ⅶ대학 창원캠퍼스에서 ‘항만·물류 전문 인력 양성을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 조립, 가공, 분류, 라벨링 등 고부가가치 물류 활동을 수행하는 신항 배후단지의 인력 수요에 대응하기 위해 추진되었다. 협약의 한 축인 부산항신항배후단지물류협회는 56개 입주업체(61개 사업장)를 회원사로 두고 있으며, 이들 기업은 창원시의 고용 창출과 지역 경제 활성화에 기여하는 핵심 주체다.
인력 양성의 주체인 한국폴리텍Ⅶ대학 창원캠퍼스는 2025년 '물류자동화시스템학과'를 신설하며 선제적으로 대응하고 있다. 이 학과는 스마트 물류 구현을 위한 현장 실무형 교육과정 및 물류시스템 구축·유지보수 전문기술 인력 양성 사업을 본격적으로 추진하고 있다.
