충남 태안 해역에서 인천선적 어선이 전복돼 인명 구조 작업이 긴박하게 진행되고 있다.
태안해양경찰서(서장 김진영)에 따르면 4일 오후 6시 20분께 태안군 천리포 북서쪽 약 2.5km 해상에서 9.77톤급 연안자망 어선 A호가 전복됐다. 선박에는 선장과 선원 등 7명이 타고 있었다.
해경은 사고 직후 구조세력을 현장에 급파해 지금까지 승선원 4명을 구조했으며, 이 중 3명은 저체온증 증세를 보이고 1명은 심정지 상태로 발견됐다. 나머지 3명에 대한 수색이 이어지고 있다.
특히 사고 해역은 강한 바람과 높은 파도, 그물 잔재가 얽힌 악조건 속이었다. 해경 구조대원들은 전복된 선박 위로 올라가 바다로 직접 뛰어들어 표류 중인 승선원들을 차례로 구조한 것으로 알려졌다.
구조된 선원 3명은 오후 8시 33분께 천리포항으로 옮겨졌으며, 현재 태안과 서산 지역 병원으로 이송돼 치료를 받고 있다. 한편 해안가 수색 중 십리포 해변에서 심정지 상태의 1명도 추가 구조됐다.
태안해경 관계자는 “남은 실종자 3명에 대한 해상·육상·항공 수색을 병행하고 있다”며 “기상 악화 속에서도 단 한 명의 실종자도 놓치지 않도록 총력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
