몰타에서 3년 동안 처음보는 우박이며 겨울에 눈이나 비가 잘 안내리는 나라인데
요즘따라 비가 자주 오더나 드디어 우박까지 내린다.
- 몰타 전체가 속한 지중해성 기후 특성상, 겨울~늦가을은 강수와 기상 변화가 잦다.
- 특히 최근에는 Malta Meteorological Office 발표에 따르면
- “저기압 (low‑pressure system)”이 중부 지중해에 머물면서, 강한 뇌우와 우박을 동반한
- 폭우가 여러 차례 있었다.
- 이런 저기압 + 따뜻한 해수면 + 겨울철 공기 불안정성이 겹칠 때는,
- 여름이 아닌 계절에도 뇌우 / 우박 / 돌풍 같은 극단적 날씨가 드물지 않다.
- 실제로 과거 몰타에서 우박 기록이 여럿 있다
- 게다가 지금은 “날씨 전환기 (겨울 시작 무렵)”라 — 여름의 건조한 패턴이 끝나고,
- 비·바람·구름의 시기가 시작되는 중간 단계로서 기온 · 날씨가 오락가락하기 쉽다.

Due to Malta’s Mediterranean climate,
Precipitation and weather changes are frequent in late autumn and winter.
According to a recent announcement by the Malta Meteorological Office,
A low-pressure system has been lingering over the central Mediterranean,
bringing heavy thunderstorms and hail several times.
When such low pressure combines with warm sea surface temperatures
and unstable winter air, extreme weather such as thunderstorms,
hail, and strong gusts can occur even outside the summer season.
In fact, there have been multiple records of hail in Malta in the past.
Moreover, since this is a “weather transition period” at the beginning of winter,
the dry summer pattern has ended, and a period of rain,
wind, and clouds has begun — temperatures and weather tend to fluctuate easily.
This is the first time in three years that such conditions have occurred.
マルタは地中海性気候のため、
晩秋から冬にかけて降水や天候の変化が頻繁に起こります。
最近、マルタ気象局によると、中央地中海に低気圧が停滞しており、
強い雷雨や雹（ひょう）を伴う豪雨が何度も発生しています。
このような低気圧が暖かい海面水温と冬季の不安定な空気と組み合わさると、
夏以外の季節でも雷雨、雹、強風などの極端な天候が珍しくありません。
実際、過去のマルタでは雹の記録がいくつもあります。
さらに、今は「天候の移行期（冬の始まり）」であり、
夏の乾燥パターンは終わり、雨・風・雲の時期が始まっているため、
気温や天気は変わりやすいです。
このような状況が発生するのは、過去3年間で初めてです。
