미래 농생명산업을 선도할 핵심 산업지구가 확대 지정됐다.
전북특별자치도는 농생명산업지구위원회를 개최해 ▲ 익산 동물의약품 산업지구 ▲ 장수 저탄소 한우 산업지구 ▲ 순창 미생물 농생명산업지구 등 3개 지구를 농생명산업지구로 지정했다고 9일 밝혔다.
이번 지정은 실행계획 협의ㆍ전략환경영향평가 등 사전 절차와 사업 타당성 및 실행 가능성과 지역발전 기여도 등을 종합적으로 검토해 확정됐다.
농생명산업지구는 전북특별법 제정에 따라 마련했다.
농생명자원의 생산부터 가공ㆍ유통ㆍ연구개발을 집적화해 산업 전후방 연계를 강화하고 전북 농업의 새로운 성장거점으로 육성하는 것을 목표로 올 상반기 지정된 3개 지구를 포함해 총 6개(남원 ECO 스마트팜ㆍ진안 홍삼한방ㆍ고창 사시사철 김치특화) 지구가 지정됐다.
익산 동물의약품 산업지구(25.6㏊)는 동물용의약품의 연구개발부터 임상시험ㆍ시제품 생산, 효능 및 안전성 평가ㆍ자원 보존 등 전 주기를 포괄하는 클러스터로 조성된다.
인수공통전염병연구소 등 지역 연구기관과 연계한 연구 기반도 확충해 산업 집적화도 추진한다.
특히 향후, 벤처 벤처타운 구축을 통해 창업기업 유치와 기업부설연구소 입주까지 병행해 산업 생태계 확장을 도모한다는 방침이다.
