브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 김영섭 KT 대표가 2일 신년사를 통해 정보보안에 대한 인식 전환과 전사적 대응의 중요성을 강조하며, 전방위적인 보안 혁신과 AX(인공지능 전환)를 통한 지속 성장을 당부했다.
김 대표는 이날 “이번 침해사고에서 보듯 이제 정보보안은 전통적인 IT 부서만의 문제가 아니라 네트워크, 마케팅, 고객서비스(CS) 등 우리가 수행하는 모든 업무 영역이 공격 대상이자 반드시 지켜야 할 영역”이라며 “이 같은 인식 전환 없이는 갈수록 일상화·지능화되는 침해 위협에 대응할 수 없다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “장기간에 걸친 조사와 대책 마련 과정에 직간접적으로 참여한 임직원 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”며 “앞으로 고객 신뢰를 회복하는 과정에서도 전 임직원이 함께 힘을 모아 달라”고 당부했다.
김 대표는 지난 한 해 KT의 변화와 성과에 대해서도 언급했다. 그는 “B2B AX 시장 공략, B2C 서비스·요금·유통 혁신, 사업 수행 체계 고도화 등 KT의 본질적 변화와 혁신을 위해 임직원 모두가 노력해 왔다”며 “앞으로도 개인과 조직의 역량을 키우고 본업의 성과를 지속적으로 혁신해 나가는 도전이 이어지길 기대한다”고 말했다.
아울러 “전사적인 보안 혁신 노력과 함께 AX 역량을 더욱 강화하고, 이를 기반으로 한 혁신과 과감한 도전을 지속한다면 고객과 시장이 인정하는 최고의 AX 혁신 파트너로 성장할 수 있을 것”이라고 강조했다.
