【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=구자근 국회의원(구미시갑·산업통상자원중소벤처기업위원회)이 법률소비자연맹이 주관하는 국정감사 NGO모니터단이 선정한 ‘2025년도 국정감사 국리민복상’을 받았다.
시민단체와 각계 전문가로 구성된 NGO모니터단의 종합 평가에서 국정감사 활동의 우수성을 인정받은 결과다.
국정감사 NGO모니터단은 시민단체 활동가와 대학생, 전문가들이 직접 16개 상임위원회의 국정감사 과정을 모니터링하고, 정량·정성 평가를 거쳐 수상자를 선정한다.
구 의원은 산업통상자원중소벤처기업위원회에서 활동하며 정부의 산업 및 통상 정책 전반을 집중적으로 질의하고 검증해 높은 평가를 받았다.
구 의원은 이번 국정감사에서 대미관세 협상 과정의 문제점을 지적하며 정부의 외교와 통상 대응 역량을 점검했다. 또 수출입과 국내 산업에 미치는 영향에 대해 정부의 책임 있는 설명을 요구하기도 했다.
재생에너지 산업과 관련해서는 중국산 제품이 시장을 잠식하는 문제와 무리한 보급에 따른 전기요금 인상, 산업 경쟁력 약화 우려를 제기하며 정책 검증의 필요성을 강조했다. RE100 추진 과정에서는 급하게 추진된 정책의 한계와 미흡한 설계 문제를 지적하며 보완 대책 마련을 촉구했다.
구 의원은 앞서 국민의힘이 선정한 ‘2025 국정감사 우수의원’에도 이름을 올린 바 있다. NGO 평가와 당내 평가를 동시에 받은 것이다.
구자근 의원은 “이재명 정권과 민주당의 독주로 발생하는 폐해를 막기 위해 견제 역할에 집중했다”며 “구미 시민과 대한민국 국민의 삶에 희망을 드릴 수 있도록, 국리민복의 의미를 되새기며 의정활동에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

During this audit, Koo highlighted issues in the US tariff negotiation process and reviewed the government's diplomatic and trade capabilities. He also demanded a responsible government explanation regarding the impact on imports, exports, and domestic industries.
Regarding the renewable energy industry, he emphasized the need for policy oversight, raising concerns about Chinese products encroaching on the market, rising electricity rates due to excessive expansion, and weakening industrial competitiveness. He also pointed out the limitations of the hastily implemented RE100 policy and its flawed design, urging the development of complementary measures.
Representative Koo was previously named the "2025 National Assembly Audit Excellence Member" by the People Power Party, receiving both NGO and party recognition.
