환경개선부담금은 환경오염 원인 제공자가 환경 개선에 필요한 비용을 부담하는 제도로, 징수된 재원은 쾌적한 생활환경 조성을 위한 다양한 환경 정책에 활용된다.
연납 신청 대상은 2012년 3월 이전 제작된 경유자동차 중, 2025년 7월 1일부터 2026년 6월 30일까지 소유권과 등록지역 변동이 없는 차량 소유자다.
연납 신청 시 전년도 하반기분과 올해 상반기분 환경개선부담금의 10%를 감면받을 수 있다.
신청은 31일까지 가능하며, 납부 기간은 16일부터 31일까지다. 연납 신청 후 기한 내 미납부할 경우 기존과 동일하게 3월과 9월에 정기분으로 부과되며 별도 불이익은 없다.
신청은 증평군 환경위생과 방문, 전화 또는 위택스를 통해 할 수 있다.
