【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단이 운영하는 구수산도서관이 문화체육관광부가 주최하고 한국도서관문화진흥원이 주관하는 ‘2026년 작은도서관 순회사서 지원’ 공모사업에 선정됐다.
이에 따라 관내 6곳의 작은도서관에 순회사서 2명을 배치해 운영을 지원할 계획이라고 14일 밝혔다.
이 사업은 전문 사서를 작은도서관에 파견해 운영의 내실을 다지고, 공공도서관과 작은도서관 간 연계를 강화하기 위해 추진된다. 지역 독서문화 진흥과 이용자 서비스의 질을 높이는 것이 목적이다.
구수산도서관은 내년 2월부터 11월까지 10개월간 순회사서 2명을 북구영어, 서변동, 한강공원부키, 산격1동, 침산1동, 노원행복작은도서관 등 6곳에 배치해 운영을 지원한다.
순회사서들은 자료 선정과 수집·정리, 열람·대출 등 도서관 운영 업무 전반을 맡고, 독서문화 프로그램 기획 및 운영, 공공도서관과의 협력사업에도 참여하게 된다.
이번 사업으로 작은도서관의 자료 관리 체계가 한층 안정되고, 주민 참여형 독서 프로그램의 전문성도 강화될 전망이다. 또 공공도서관과 작은도서관이 인적·물적 자원을 공유하는 구조가 확립되면, 지속가능한 운영 모델이 자리 잡을 것으로 기대된다.
순회사서 지원 대상은 사서자격증 소지자이며, 지원서 접수는 16일부터 22일까지 진행된다. 자세한 접수 방법은 구수산도서관과 행복북구문화재단 공고를 통해 확인할 수 있다.
구수산도서관 관계자는 “전문 사서의 배치는 작은도서관 운영의 질을 한 단계 높일 것”이라며 “주민들이 직접 체감할 수 있는 독서 서비스 강화와 지역 독서문화 활성화로 이어지길 바란다”고 말했다.

The traveling librarians will be responsible for all aspects of library operations, including material selection, collection, organization, reading, and lending. They will also participate in the planning and operation of reading culture programs and collaborative projects with public libraries.
This project is expected to further stabilize the small library's material management system and enhance the expertise of community-based reading programs. Furthermore, by establishing a structure where public and small libraries share human and material resources, a sustainable operating model is expected to take hold.
