Jincheon County Imposes Regular Registration License Tax for January 2026

21,556 Cases, KRW 269 Million Imposed... Payment Due by February 2

Jincheon County, North Chungcheong Province, announced on the 14th that it had imposed regular registration license taxes for January 2026, totaling KRW 269 million on 21,556 cases.

This year's regular registration license taxes increased by KRW 26 million on 1,523 cases compared to last year, due to the increase in companies in industrial complexes within the county and the continued population growth.

The registration license tax (license) is a local tax levied on those who hold various licenses from administrative authorities. Differential rates apply depending on the type of license held, from Type 1 to Type 5. The tax amounts are KRW 27,000 for Type 1, KRW 18,000 for Type 2, KRW 12,000 for Type 3, KRW 9,000 for Type 4, and KRW 4,500 for Type 5.

Tax subjects are individuals or corporations holding licenses with no expiration date or a validity period exceeding one year, as defined in Article 39 of the Enforcement Decree of the Local Tax Act, as of January 1, 2025.

The regular registration license tax (license) payment period is from January 16 to February 2. Payment can be made at any financial institution nationwide, via WeTax or Internet Giro, or by credit card via ARS (142211).

By transferring to a virtual account dedicated to deposits, you can conveniently pay without having to visit a financial institution in person.
