북구 도시재생지원센터는 지난 19일 복현어울림센터에서 ‘내마음은 콩밭 협동조합’과 ‘태종기획’이 함께하는 도시재생 연계 공동사업 추진을 위한 협약을 체결했다고 22일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 도시재생사업과 연결된 커뮤니티 활성화 프로그램을 공동으로 기획하고 운영하기 위해 마련됐다. 센터는 청년의 참여를 넓히고, 주민이 주도하는 프로젝트를 체계적으로 지원할 방침이다. 앞으로 세 기관은 현장 지원과 주민 교육, 컨설팅을 함께 추진하며 사업의 지속 가능성 제고에 힘쓸 계획이다.
주요 공동사업에는 북구 도시재생사업과 연계한 커뮤니티 프로그램 운영을 비롯해, 청년과 대학생의 지역사회 참여 확대를 위한 문화 및 역량강화 활동, 주민과 청년이 함께 기획·실행하는 주민 주도형 도시재생 프로젝트 지원 등이 포함됐다. 또한 현장에서 직접 이뤄지는 지원 활동과 주민 대상 교육, 컨설팅도 병행해 실질적인 변화를 이끌겠다는 구상이다.
이번 협력을 통해 청년들에게는 지역 현장 경험과 네트워크를 쌓을 기회가, 주민들에게는 참신한 아이디어와 활력이 더해질 것으로 기대된다. 특히 청년 커뮤니티와 대학 연계 프로그램의 경우 지역 정주성 강화와 지역경제 활력에도 긍정적 효과가 있을 것이라는 관측이다.

김은윤 북구 도시재생지원센터장은 “이번 3자 협약을 계기로 청년과 주민이 함께 지역 문제를 고민하고, 도시재생 현장에서 직접 해결해 나가겠다”며 “사람 중심의 도시재생이 뿌리내릴 수 있도록 적극적으로 뒷받침하겠다”고 말했다.
배광식 북구청장은 “도시재생 뉴딜사업으로 다진 토대 위에 청년들의 기획력과 주민들의 공동체 경험이 더해져 지역 활성화의 밑거름이 될 것”이라며 “참여 기관들 간의 긴밀한 협력을 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
