[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주도시공사(사장 이흥규)는 양주시, ㈜비씨디이엔씨와 함께 드론을 활용한 공공 시설물 안전점검 체계 구축 및 드론 전문 인력 양성을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 세 기관은 드론을 활용한 공공 시설물 안전점검을 단계적으로 확대하고, 점검 효율성과 안전성 향상을 통해 시설물 유지관리 체계 고도화를 추진할 계획이다.
특히 이번 사업은 양주시 관내업체인 ㈜비씨디이엔씨에서 개발한 Non-GPS 드론 기술을 실제 공공시설물 점검 현장에 적용한다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 지역 기업의 기술력을 공공 안전 분야에 접목함으로써, 시설물 관리의 전문성을 높이는 동시에 지역 기술의 실증 및 활용 기회를 확대할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
아울러 양주도시공사는 양주시와 협력해 드론 시설물 점검 전문 인력 양성을 추진하고, 실제 시설 점검 현장 중심의 교육·실습 체계를 구축할 계획이며 이를 통해 드론 기반 점검 체계가 지속 가능한 시설관리 시스템으로 정착되도록 할 방침이다.
이흥규 사장은 “이번 협약은 공공시설 안전관리에 드론 기술을 본격적으로 접목하는 중요한 계기”라며 “드론을 활용한 스마트 점검을 통해 시설물 안전성을 강화하고, 시민이 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 공공시설 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
