【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 ㈜충북소주가 22일 군청을 찾아 지역의 우수 인재 양성을 위해 써달라며 장학금 226만8000원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
이번 장학금은 ㈜충북소주와 (재)증평군민장학회가 체결한 ‘장학기금 조성 협약’에 따라 지역에서 소비되는 영업용 시원소주 1병당 10원씩 적립하는 방식으로 조성된 기금이다.
㈜충북소주는 지난 2014년부터 현재까지 이 같은 방식으로 총 3884만4750원의 장학기금을 조성·기탁하며 지역 인재 육성에 힘을 보태고 있다.
기탁된 장학금은 증평군 학생들의 학업 지원과 인재 양성 사업에 활용될 예정이다.
전정웅 팀장은 “지역에서 받은 사랑을 다시 지역사회에 돌려주고자 장학기금 조성에 참여하고 있다”며 “미래를 이끌어갈 지역 인재들이 꿈을 키워가는 데 작은 힘이나마 보탬이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
