군은 지난해부터 시행된 농어촌버스 무료화 시행과 물가상승 등으로 경영에 어려움을 겪고 있는 택시업계를 지원하고, 군민들의 이동권 보호를 위해 택시업계와 협의해 다양한 맞춤형 지원사업을 추진해 왔다.
개인택시 면허 양도·양수 기준을 완화해 운수종사자의 은퇴 및 신규 진입 장벽을 낮추고 안정적인 면허 거래를 지원했으며, 카드결제 수수료를 기존 1만원 이하에서 전액으로 확대해 택시 기사의 경제적 부담을 줄이기 위해 힘써 왔다.
올해는 지원을 더 촘촘하게 확대한다. 택시 광고료 확대, 단말기 통신비 지원, 블랙박스 교체, 노후택시 교체 지원, 희망택시 운행 대상마을 확대 등 한층 더 체계적이고 실질적인 지원사업을 추진한다.
우선 택시 광고료를 기존 6만원에서 8만3000원으로 인상하고, 대상 차량도 184대에서 관내 전체 택시 200대로 확대해 운수종사자의 실질 소득 지원금을 확대함과 동시에 음성명작에 대한 홍보 효과를 극대화할 방침이다.
